Dear Sir or Madam,

as you most certainly know air conditioning systems in vehicles tend to leak within 2-3 years due to an untight cover plate in the container. In that case, usually a complete replacement of the condenser is necessary at considerable expense.

Many customers balk at the expenses of approximately € 700,00 as exemplified below.

With our new special cover plate we present a solution for which
demounting of the dryer is not necessary anymore.



Remove original cover plate and insert WRC-198-608-08W in the condenser. Use a box wrench size ten to prestress until the grommet receives the pressure required. Perform leak test as accustomed.

Material hardness

The material hardness of O-rings is established with standard specimens. It is specified in Shore A and can vary between 40 and 90 Shore A.

The IRHD measuring principle is used for measuring finished parts.

The correct choice of hardness depends upon the application, the material, the effective pressures, tolerances and gap widths.

Dynamic applications normally require O-rings of 70 to 90 Shore.

Tolerances an type characteristics

The quality criteria for O-rings are defined in DIN 3771 T1-4.

The tolerances for the cross section and the inside diameter in accordance to DIN 3771 T1 are shown in table 9 and 10.

The type characteristics in accordance to DIN 3771 T4 are shown in table 11.

Type characteristics N is the standard quality.


Type characteristics S is for higher quality requirements.
